PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Capriotti's Sandwich Shop is currently looking for a DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS (w/ RESTAURANT experience) to oversee our 6 corporate Capriotti's locations in Reno, Nevada!

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Director of Operations plans, coordinates, and grows the operations of his/her assigned area/locations. He/she leads their teams to deliver an optimum guest experience while focusing on increasing revenue. This position also continuously develops the skills and talents of the General Managers in the assigned areas/locations skills to promote growth opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Previous multi-unit experience is REQUIRED to demonstrate a broader understanding of multi-unit leadership needs. 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This position directly supervises and General Managers of the assigned areas/locations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drive positive guest experience by educating General Managers on Capriotti’s service experience standards; utilizing the CAPTrack system, and coaching and developing teams on CAPtivating Service and recapture Service Recovery.
  • Conducts final interviews for hourly team members in order to develop bench strength and sustain the Capriotti’s culture.
  • Assists managers in targeting and nominating in-shop trainers; following the trainer certification process. Monitors the teams’ progress in utilizing CAP University in order to ensure consistency in performance, product preparation, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Develops General Manager/Assistant Manager business and financial acumen through consistent review of financial reports and other available market data.
  • Ensures brand initiatives are communicated throughout region/locations (e.g., all marketing collateral positioned or removed accordingly, changes to product or operational standards/specifications, team training requirements).
  • Assists in the completion of team discipline and performance responsibilities for assigned region/locations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • This is a field position, requiring 80% of your time in the region/locations and 20% of office time for administration, planning and organizing time.
  • This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • This position requires the ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • This position may require tolerance to cold/hot temperatures (walk-in cooler/freezer and grill).

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Approximately 90% of the time, the Area Manager will be in a restaurant environment; 10% of the time will be in an office.
